Everyday, From Now On

I cant believe I'm actually blogging in college. Haha! I have another 1 hour and 10 mins for my class to start. Life has changed drastically, for instance...

  • No more mapling
  • No more Tv
  • No more Hp
  • No more animes
  • No more sleeping for 8 hours plus
  • No more lazing around
  • No more onlining. Lol. As if.

Now it's more to :

  • Study
  • Study
  • Travel
  • Online
  1. Life's been really tough lately, especially during the first two days. Haven't got used to the transportation over here. Currently, I'm trying to find an alternative way to go back home faster, and with cheaper fare. At least, I now take 1 hour 50 mins to reach coll. Haha! Cool huh? But 2 hours plus to reach home. For me, it wasn't exactly tiring, coz I usually study a lil and sleep in the train. Omg, my sis said I 'berhijrah'. Wth? No more studying this subject lar. Only Malaysian studies, which is the only class I never concentrate. I've been a really good gal lately. Lol, perasan man. I sit in the first row for every subjects, I did their work (Not many =.='), I revise after and before their lectures, and most importantly, I study for at least 3 hours plus after coll, depending wat time I reach home. I dun wanna regret no more. I already flunk in so many exams. Piano, Spm, and driving test. Wtf? If i fail for this coming topic test, I can really commit suicide man. I wanted to cry after the examiner said I failed. Some may take it easy, saying lots of ppl fail in that test etc. But, imagine all looking at u, knowing that u failed. The examiner drove me back. ( she failed 3 person out of 5 ok) I cant help myself but to blame her. I noe it's not her fault, but I just feel like blaming her. =( My parents sent me to coll after that. My tears was flowing the entire journey, and I hid inside the toilet awhile just to cry. Wtf? I went all quiet and everything after that.
  2. I now look forward to go to coll everyday rather than to be back home. There's not much homework to do, and no assignments YET. But, my first topic test is in 2 weeks time. The gal I met during the test, she said there's not many presentations. Just that we have to do study consistently coz there's alot of topic tests for all subjects. So, she said it's quite tough doing this programme. Hope is not as difficult as she said. =) Dad's been nagging on and on bout studying, making me stay upstairs and do my work in my room these days. I don't even dare to use the comp in front of my dad now.
  • I love the Teachers over here. They're very nice, except for maths (he teaches extremely fast, expecting us to understand) and accounts. (not to criticize, but just here to comment) I especially love my economics teacher, she's really really good. Too bad I wont be attending her class next Monday again. My computer science teacher is really funny, but the subject is kinda boring though. So when it comes to the end of the lesson, the gals will be like falling asleep. (Meaning gals like Mabel) We're learning hardware now. (System Unit, input and output devices, and secondary storage) I love this part, he taught us how to read computer fliers. The fliers at LOT10 thingy. Lastly, my English teacher. She's really nice but I didn't know English is SO tough!! Even on the first chapter, I got so many wrong answers. Sobz. Chapter 2 is even worse now.

  • I love SyUC. The campus might not be as big as TarC or better environment as Taylors, but I just simply love it. Haha! It doesn't really matter to me, coz basically I'm always in class, or the computer lab. Next time will be the thol library. Besides, I dont have any break except on Monday. Lol, that's it. Haha! Sharity Carnival's coming soon. Priya kept on persuading me to buy the coupons whenever she sees me. Surely there's something behind her with the tickets. MUFY Talent Quest is coming soon too. Auditions is on 12 Sept. I thought if we can find another couple, then only we'll enter. Turned out I was wrong after all. Hip Hop dance. Lol!! And I'm joining?? So not me. Furthermore, I cant dance okay! But as what my sis said, just have fun. I dunno bout that. Kinda think of it, I feel like entering this contest, since it will be total of 6 ppl. (we're still recruiting 2 more) Erica, Terry, Tom and myself so far.

  • I love my Friends. The 2 weird guys, Ian and Andrew, Omg, U can't stop laughing when you're with them. They're damn funny and with the 2 of them together + Erica, the 8 of us really the noisiest group during Malaysian Studies. That's also the only time we can sit together in 2 rows. Oh, Terry just changed his English and Maths class to be with Tom. Erica said he's so gay. If they're gay, then what bout us? Swt. In the mean time, there's this gal.. she's really really pretty. I want to know her soo much. Haha! I know I know.. At least she's in the same Csc class with me. Weird, I look at gals more than I look at guys. Oh, there's 2 things bothering me so far, I noticed that she likes to sit in the middle no matter which class we enter. And.. what did he mean by that? @.@ I don't wanna know and I hope I wont.

A Whole New World

~Orientation Week~
First Day :
  1. For the first time in my entire life, I wasn't nervous at all stepping to an entire new place, adapting to new environment, building friendships and most importantly, working on my empty brain. (the last time was 3 months ago? But my brain dead for like 8 months?!?!)
  2. Registered at the foyer.
  3. Dad and mom abandoned me in the multi purpose hall alone! So, I went in front and sat down. The 2 gals beside me, Erica and Meena started talking to each other. I wondered, should I join in? I wanted to, but I couldn't. I didn't really know wat to say. I gave up and just sat there like a dumb person, listening to their convo? Omg, such busybody. But I couldn't help listening, after she said she went for ns and all. Lol. Plus, there's nothin else to do. A gal in front of me was alone as well. She made the first move to talk to me. Kimberly, 16 yrs old from Indonesia. Sat beside her and we started talking and exchanging phone numbers. =)
  4. Had talks from directors from all departments. Bla bla~
  5. Dad guided me on my transportation. He went around to ask some of the students on how they usually go back and stuff. I dunno wth happened to me but I kept on staring at a guy. He looked alot like Ruben, or maybe more to Ruben's brother. Moreover, he was one of the ppl who were willing to answer my dad's questions. He sounded like that typical Ruben. Lol, am I missing HP that much? Why are these ppl coming back? Indirectly. First Ccy, and now my buddy/brother/bf/best friend? I can just imagine him calling me, Yenyen~~ Eww. Only Jin and the rest will understand how much I suffered? Lol. Can really just laugh lar. Haha!

Second Day :

  1. My mom sent me to Wangsa Maju station at 6.30am. Sat the train to Kelana Jaya Station. (Or was it Asia Jaya?) I was so so tired that time. Seriously, waking up at 5.15am in the morning will kill me one day. I fell asleep in the train. Ppl usually wonder how I can wake up on time or at the right station. Yeah, My 6th sense came in handy as usual. I woke up feeling blur blur~ My vision was blur, (not suppose to sleep with lens for more than 30mins) My mind was blur. I just saw the word 'Jaya' and quickly jumped up from my seat and ran out. Validated the card, walked down the staircase and I was like.. eh? Where am I? How come I don't recognize the place? I looked properly at the board. Asia Jaya??? Wth? And it's 7.15am! The coll bus leaves at 7.30am! I ran up again, praying.. sort of. Went straight into the next train. Guess who I saw? Cain!! Again, maybe not. But this time, I'm positive. But who cares? He don't know me, I don't know him. But then, he studies at Monash/Sunway rite? Maybe I can just follow him from the back. Maybe he will be sitting coll bus. He rushed, I rushed. Lol. Went down at KJ station and he went to his friend's car. Wtf?!?! I was left all alone. Sobz, I dunno where the hell the bus stops at all. I asked a few ppl, none of them were sunway students. Fine, I finally sat Rapid Kl to Sunway pyramid at 7.35am. Took the bus 66 to college. Reached there around 8.15am. (orientation starts at 9am)
  2. Took the lift to 4th floor with Meena. I smiled and she smiled back. I wanted to talk to her. But as usual, I kept back. We went into the hall together and she started talking to me. Hehe, she's really friendly and nice. Meena, from Sg Buloh. ^^ She's taking biomedical next time. Cool, I always respect ppl who do medical subjects. If i were to take the same course as her, my mom would be sooo proud. Lol. Erica joined us later on. At first I thought she's the lala type, I mean those Sg Wang type of gals, but turned out I was actually wrong. She's really funny and talkative, like small gal. She and Meena can make good girlfriends. Eventually, I joined them for lunch and the rest of the sessions. The good thing was, I don't feel awkward or nervous when I was with them. In fact, I really feel happy. I didn't expect I will meet up with these kind of ppl in Sunway. I mean, everyone says that Sunway are full of rich brats. I dont really agree though, they are just NORMAL students with just NORMAL clothes.
  3. Had briefing on all subjects.
  4. ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST. Arghh!! 'People today are selfish and greedy. Do you agree?' in 250 words for 40 minutes. My god, I really had no idea. Stuck~ I just stare at the paper for the first 5 minutes. Finally, I wrote and wrote.. ended up about Malaysia and vision 2020? Lol?!?! It's totally out of the topic. But I cant just rewrite and choose another topic. There isn't enough time. I saw Meena's and Erica's paper, theirs was one page full. Is mine good enough? There's so many ppl who speak English over here. What if I was called to enter the special class? No possible way! I only wrote about 252 words. =X
  5. Next, Maths Placement Test. Totally suck at it. There's 25 questions on fractions, gradients, log, index, probability etc. I just simply hentam the whole paper. Most of the ppl left only when time was up. Lol. Are they havin the same prob as me? =D For all I know, I did badly. Meena and Erica said the paper was actually OKAY, just that they dun understand some of the English terms. Die~ Get ready for special class. Sobz.
  6. Bought ticket for coll bus. I didn't know we had to buy the ticket in order to take the bus. Good thing is, it stops at Taman Bahagia station. Swt.
  7. Erica's dad sent me to Bandar Tasik Selatan Station. Changed train at Masjid Jamek. Took 2 hours to reach home. Saved around Rm0.20? Lol.

Third Day :

  1. Today is the day... I met Mabel. ^^ We were waiting for the orientation to start outside the MPH. She came over to chat with me. (How come they're the one who always start first??) Haha, we were discussing bout the test. She said she did badly in it, especially Maths test. I totally agree with her. Lol XP I introduced her to Meena and Erica later on. So yeah, she joined us for the rest of the days. Our 'group' now consist of 4 members. Love it~
  2. Announcement -- Those names who are called will be attending these classes.

English 3 - L-E-E Y-E-N Y-E-N

  1. Wat the bloody hell?? I was damn shocked. I didnt know what to do at that moment. I mean, if it's Maths, then it's understandable, but English??? How can that be possible?? Not to boast that my English is good whatsoever but I didn't know is THAT bad. I wanna cry but I just couldn't. Why cry for little stuff like that? That's nothing I can do but to accept the fact. Still, I don't want to attend that class!!! T.T After finished reading the list, she then announced the names for those who will be attending certain maths class. I was thinking *Die lar die lar* If I did badly in English, I certainly did worse in Maths. I wrote down class 3/8, ready to look out for my name. Luckily, and I mean LUCKILY, my name was not called. Omg, I really thank god for that. It's kinda humiliating already for attending that English class. Okay, maybe the rest wouldn't feel the way like I did.
  2. We were supposed to choose the classes we want to go for from the timetable that were given. Even after 20 mins, I still haven't really decided which to go for yet and the rest were starting to leave their seats and registering the subjects at the counter at the back of the hall. I just simply choose any classes which I think suitable. My friends and I registered for computer science first, then accounts, and economics. Things were getting ugly, students were rushing here and there coz there's a lot of ppl lining up, some were frustrated coz certain classes were full (they had to register for other class). One of them was me. Lol, Erica and I begged and begged the Maths lecturer to add another slot for his class. He said NO. Finally, he gave in. Anything is fine with me as long as we got what we wanted. We moved on to register English at the next counter. On one particular table, there was this list. (Students of Eng3) I was thinking, how come my name wasnt there? I asked one of the English lecturers whether my name is under that class or not. Wtf?? I heard wrongly during the announcement. It's suppose to be LEE YING YIN, not LEE YEN-YEN. Omg~!! Yeah, there's no time to be happy, I got 'work' to do. Lolx. I now have to decide which class. Lots of slots at 3 something onwards, but I had have class that time. Except for Eng6. So, I was practically the last one to fill up the slot for that class. I think.
  3. Yeah, one more to settle which was Maths. Coz it's now clash with English. Erica was so nice. She helped me alot (begging that lecturer once more) He was saying ~ Just now u were begging for this class and now u wanna change. Then we were like ~ Teacher, that time for English bla bla... He said there's one more slot. That's it. (Someone canceled) Omg, we just need one slot lar!! Which is for me. Lolx So I filled up for that Maths class and canceled the other. At last.. DONE!!!
  4. Took photo for my student ID. Will be ready in 2 weeks time. We waited for 30 mins plus coz the line was super long. Oh yeah, got to know a new gal through Kim, her name is Tanrin. She's sooooooo shy!!! And nice and quiet. Lol.

4th Day :

  1. On your marks, Get set, Goo!! That's the Sunway Version of Bingo where we have to look for signatures depending on the questions. Those who suceeded filling up the slots horizontally or vertically got chocolate bars. Lolz, really had fun just asking others this and that.
  2. Had talks on how college's life gonna be, time managment, culture shock etc. The first part was kinda boring, the second part was much much better. It's getting to noe more bout urself. I'm high C and S. Lol, the talk she gave was so real, as if it was meant for me. Omg, me being perasan, learnt from that fella lar.
  3. Had lunch with Meena, Erica, Mable and Janice. =)
  4. Went to the computer lab where I got my novell account. Then, registered my subjects in the Izone.

Taking Me Over

I was dead nervous the night before QTI. Luckily there was him to accompany me at that moment. Seriously, he can make me smile and laugh all the time without worrying about anything else. That's another reason why I like him as a friend. Even though the choice I made might be wrong, but I never regretted at all. At least, we shared some memories together. Nice and sweet. Haha!
Anyway, QTI was nothing. It is just to evaluate whether u qualify for the real exam with JPJ or not. The examiner ( is it called examiner?) just let me did a few rounds on the track and that's it! Omg, I spent a few hours thinking wat to do during the 'test'. Did not sleep well last night. Went to bed around 1 plus, end up sleeping around 3 plus. Pathetic. During the test, I did not pass the 1st part. Come on, I waited for like so long for the examiner. He was drinking coffee!! Arghh!! Taking his own sweet time. Plus, I haven't got a chance to warm up yet.

But he was nice enough to let do it again. He let me try on a brand new car (damn nice) and even on the radio for me. Haha! Not what i expected from a sourly man. I was really excited when I reached the 2nd last part, which was the 3 point turn. I think. I went in too fast on the first turn. Then, the tyre kinda stuck at the curb. I tried to reverse. But cant! I didnt know what to do! He wasn't even looking. I just hentam only. I managed to leave with 5 movements instead. Just my luck. In the end, I saw him jotting down the marks but he nvr tell me how much I got. He just say that my exam will be on the 27th coz there's no more place for me on the 20th. Haih, too bad. I thought I wanna end it earlier. If I pass.

My dad taught me driving again yesterday evening. Went to seksyen 10 there to practise. So much better compare to that day. I wasn't THAT nervous as before. Unfortunately, my engine still died. Twice. Lol! One coz of those kids at the zebra crossing. They hesitated as well as myself. They did cross first. I didn't had the time to stop. Straight away my engine gave away. Wth. All of them were looking and laughing. Omg. Sucks man. The 2nd time was during parking. Dad scolded me like hell that time. Sobz. Better sei foh than knock something else rite? Which I almost did. Swt.

On The Outside, Looking In..

I haven't been blogging for quite some time now. Should I say busy? Or lazy? Or there's no stories at all? What have I been doin for these past few months? I had such great opportunity, to relax, to do nothing. There's no turning back now. I've reached the turning point of my life. In few days time, I'll be starting a new life. Finally, I'm in the same league as everyone else. I wish I could be somebody in college. I really do. I just wanna now how it feels. Based on my previous experience, I realized that I was a nobody during high school. I wasn't recognized by them at all. I mean, even during class... besides Jin, there's nobody else. On the last day of school, everyone was like saying their farewell, where was I? What was I doing? I doubt that they will miss me at all.
During Ns, I rmb a Malay gal saying that I'm not those typical chinese kl gal. Lol, what did she exactly mean anyway?

Somehow or rather, I just couldn't find the words to start a conversation with someone. There's no topics which I can find interesting to them. That's why I usually feel awkward when there's just two of us alone. Especially ppl whom I don't really know well. I want to make friends with certain ppl, just that I don't know how. Ppl do find me boring though, sad case. Secretive and quiet. Lol, just because I rarely open up to others, which I don't anyhow know why. However, I feel more comfortable just chatting online, where I don't need to face them. No awkwardness when it gone all quiet or something. Haha. I wish things would change once I start college. Change to the better.

*Heartz*

~Four Seasons in One Day~

Heard of Chrissie, Brekkie, Barbie, Garbie, Hawks, AFL, Dill etc?? At first, I thought my English really suck but then I found out most of them also dont know the exact meaning. Haha, it's their culture. We were all like so blur~~ over there when we were told to answer questions on Australia. Luckily we joined in Yoong's orientation. I learnt so much, making me love Aussie even more than before. I love the food, the places and the ppl. They were really nice and friendly. Helped us out even though we didn't ask for it. "Are you all right?" I was really touched. I mean, not many Malaysians are that way.
An Aussie Chrissie Pressie!

Capital of Australia is : A.Melbourne B.Sydney C.Canberra

There was once Yoongs and I were lost on the way to our hotel. We dropped off at Flagstaff instead of Southern Cross station, thinking that it is nearer. So happen we got 2 free 550g yogurts for free from that station. We walked and walked. Passed by Flagstaff garden, Subway and all, but got lost. Right in CBD, plus we weren't sure whether Harbour View is in Spencer St or Swanston St. We looked up at the map, but still cant figure it out. Omg, we were carrying 2 paper bags from Swinburne, a newspaper, Travel Guide, a knapsack and the yogurts all around. So stupid. I dunno, I just don't feel like asking for help. Later on, a really nice lady asked us whether we need any help on getting our way. I was totally stunned. Turned out that we walked to the wrong street from the start. It took us bout 1 1/2 hours to reach our hotel.

We also met up with lots of ppl from all over the place. Besides Australians, got to know ppl from China, Hong Kong, South Africa, Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia?? @.@ In Aussie, we looked more at the Asians than kls. There are actually many Malaysians who migrated and became pr. Even the receptionist, knew we're from M'sia. He said "One word from the mouth already know" Haha! I was laughing like mad at that moment. Lol, my parents and him talked bout things that are going on in M'sia. Malays, crimes, languages, Malays, work, rise pay, Malays.. He doesn't know what craps are the Malays doing these days. Ppl sure are racist.

Besides that, we went to my mom's friends' house. It was the first time i got to see kl's house for real. The house was like...so BIG!! No locks, no gates, and spacious. She has 2 sons and a husband. One of the sons looked alot alot like Ccy. T.T Just that he is taller, more mature looking, a year older, and knows only English and Japanese. He's studying Japanese at Monash Uni. They really looked alike. =X Mom said to Regina that he's really handsome. Lol!! Wat the hell? Should have taken his photo. Haha! and show his pic to the real Ccy. 95% alike. Get it? I told Ccy bout this. He was saying that I can still rmb him even though I went overseas. Worse still, he was happy coz I can still recognize his face. Lol! Such ass man. Haha! =.=
Bungalow = House
Terrace = Town House

*****

We bought weekly train ticket (Metlink) to travel around. Dad had been looking up the net to find out bout these train stations, places to visit etc. The ticket can be used for trains, trams and bus. There are boards and signs in every stations. So much nicer than in M'sia and really efficient every time. Heard that trams which are late will be fined. The places we went were Auburn (1 Hampston St), Glenferrie (Residential College), Prahran (Swinburne Uni), Melbourne Central (ChinaTown), Flinders Street (CBD),Southern Cross (Harbour View). We also went to places such as St Kilda, Luna Park, Clayton, Box Hill, College Square, UniLodge, Federation Square, Tourist Shuttle, Flagstaff garden, Mayer etc. Cant recall.

On Saturday, we went to Monash Uni at Clayton. It's the main campus and it's super duper big. Took us bout 2 hours just to reach there. We took from Box Hill Station to South Yarra, and to Clayton Station. (Zone 2) Walked for like 15 mins.. took a bus. and finally.. we reached!! After seeing that campus, I really really want to study at Monash. So many Asians, much 2 my mom's disappointment. Mom keep saying that i'll be studying at monash. Im not too sure bout that. See whether I qualify or not first. Hopefully, I will and IF i can. Study hard to reach my goal~ ^^
On the last day which was on Thursday, we went to Flinders Street. Omg, there's an event ; 20th Pixar Animation. I wanna go!!! My heart was telling myself to tell my dad to go for it. We were soooo close yet so far. Right in front of the building!! Imagine that. But the entrance fee is 10 dollars. That will make up about Rm90 total. Not worth the money to them. Who wants to go to an event to see how they make animation movies. I will be back one day for sure. Dad didn't know how much it really means to me. Lol, my so-called dream is : to work for Dreamworks or Pixar. (21 March 2007) Stupid right? Anywayz, after taking a few pics then we left. Just like that.
Besides that, we went to Mayer for window shopping coz the items there were really expensive. Even when it was on sale. Nothing much. Just like a normal shopping complex. French Connection, Guess, Levi's, Giordanno. Basically that's all I know.
Virgin Store = Tower Records
Hungry Jacks' = Burger King
Connex = Putra
Mayer = Midvalley
Coles = Carrefour
Box Hill = Asians rule
St Kilda = Beach (a must visit)
MX = The Sun

*****

Our food cost bout Rm100 - Rm200 each time. We tried Chinese, Thai, Italian, Japanese, Indonesian, fast food and Australian food. Each portion is really huge so we order one less everytime. What i love most are their pizza and pasta. Their ones are not like ours, and it is way better. Especially at Pizza Piazza. Besides that, I love their sushi. $2.50 for one long piece. Hell right? Will never forget Subway as well. 6' inch long for Italian RMT. Then, there's Sofia Italian Restaurant. That's where i learnt the word risotto and veal. That suck. Of all pasta, I happened to order risotto (rice). I will never eat there again even though that place is a famous family restaurant. What else? I love the Chinese food at Ye Shanghai and Thai bubble tea at Chinatown.

*****

We left M'sia at 9pm on Wednesday and it took bout 7 hours 50 mins to reach Melbourne. Gotta change my time. Fastforward 2 hours. Haha! The first thing I did when i was seated in the plane was checked the entertainment guide. Looked out for movies and songs and albums. So I watched :
1.Disturbia
2.Meet the Robinsons
3.Blades of Glory (halfway)
4.Home Alone.

During our stay at Harbour View, we watched Simpsons, Futurama, Deal or No Deal, Go Go Stop and America's Next Top Model. Then, there's this one channel which shows only movies :
1.X-men 3
2.Aeon Flux
3.Big Mama House
4. Big Daddy.

Thursday (last day) ~ Our flight was delayed for 15 mins, then an hour, and another. till bout 6 hours plus. From 3pm flight, it became 9.40pm flight due to technical prob in the plane. Haha! Not much a prob for me for I just listen to my mp4 and sleep. They compensated us with food voucher $15 each. All the ppl went straight for the nearest cafe, lined up till like I dunno how. Luckily, my parents were fast, they were one of the first few to reach the line. We took 3 pies, 2 pieces of cakes, 2 some kind of bread and a bottle of orange juice. At first, I think they wanna try to fix the problem but cant. Even if it can be fixed, I wouldn’t want to sit it. Scary~ Finally, they had no choice but to find a backup plane from Sydney to fly over to Melbourne. Wth? During the flight, it became really shaky for quite some time and we were notified to put on our sit belts. All the main lights were off and it became very dark. I was damn scared that time, my hands were so cold and my heart was beating really fast. It's like, anything can happen at that moment. I don’t wanna die. I don’t wanna know the feeling of dying. The pilot might lost control, or.. the engine stops all the sudden. I'm exaggerating I know.
1.Shrek the Third
2.Spiderman 3
3.Memoirs of a Geisha ( A+++++ movie)

Reached KLIA at 4.30am Malaysian time. Waited for the bus till 6.30am to KL Central and took the train to Wangsa Maju Station and mom's friend fetched us home from there. With all our luggage.

At Monash Uni, Clayton
Swinburne Uni??

Best food ever!!
